The existing peninsula severed the connection between the kitchen and the family room. Lacking in storage and in need of updating, our client was seeking to bring a modern professional kitchen into the home.
To open-up the footprint, removing the peninsula was a must. An island was incorporated in its’ place maximizing flow and prep space. A dining space with built-ins was arranged within the existing family room to maximize storage space and flow.
Key features of this new layout include commercial appliances, soapstone counters, floor to ceiling subway tile, a new transom window, a custom pantry, custom inset cabinetry, farm sink, and brass finishes.
