Piper Glen Entertainment
Back to all projects
The homeowners were looking to enhance the central part of their home, where they frequently entertain family and friends. The existing entertainment center consisted of old built-in cabinetry, original to the home, used primarily as a place to stack random junk. Across the living room sat a “makeshift” wet bar that had been previously added to the original kitchen pantry. With a more modern, contemporary taste, the homeowner’s requested some creative solutions and were open to any “out of the box” ideas that would accomplish their vision of a free-flowing entertainment room that would impress any guest.
The finished product now features a complex mix of open shelving, open and closed cabinetry storage, and a unique wine tower that would also house a major structural post supporting the upper level of the home after we removed the load-bearing pantry walls. The wet bar includes a light, speckled granite, perfectly complemented by a travertine and glass tile backsplash, with a hammered copper bar sink and lighted corbels supporting the bar overhang. In the end, this innovative design achieved the desired result of a stunning new entertainment mecca, drawing all areas of the home to a central meeting space that any host would proudly showcase.
