2023 Customer Satisfaction Leaders

For the past decade, Qualified Remodeler and Guild Quality have produced the annual Customer Satisfaction Report, ranking the business behaviors that most strongly correlate to boosting customer satisfaction in the remodeling industry. By gathering client satisfaction data from thousands of remodeling clients each year, Qualified Remodeler listed the five most important service traits (out of 16) across all types of jobs. Would you agree?

  1. Professional and Organized: “My remodeling company is organized and professional.”
  2. Expertise: “My remodeling company had the necessary expertise to build my project.”
  3. Problem Resolution: “The staff addresses and resolves problems effectively.”
  4. Value: “I feel I am receiving a fair value for my money.”
  5. Quality of Workmanship: “I am satisfied with the quality of workmanship.”

In addition to the most important service traits, QR also profiled 85 of the highest-rated companies in customer satisfaction out of thousands of members. DiFabion Remodeling is proud to be one of the select few. Check out our profile and what drives our team’s pursuit of the highest levels of customer satisfaction!

Investing in Future Generations

Recently, DiFabion Remodeling had the honor and privilege to partner with NARI Charlotte and award four $3,500 scholarships through the Jim Harkey Memorial Fund. Each year, the past presidents of NARI Charlotte comb through the applications of students connected to the remodeling industry and decide on a select few to support their college, university, or trade school endeavors, furthering the development of future generations in the construction industry. If the impressive resumes of these four bright individuals are any indication of what’s to come, the construction industry is in good hands with this next generation!

Kitchen Cabinetry Trends of 2023

When looking for home renovation inspiration, there are endless possibilities that drive your kitchen design: functionality, aesthetics, or a combination of both. Check out some new cabinetry trends we’re seeing in 2023.

Modern Shaker Cabinets:

  • A thinner style on cabinet doors adds depth and character without the heaviness of the traditional shaker door. It’s a subtle way to dress up your kitchen while allowing focus on other kitchen materials like countertops and hardware.

Creative Cabinetry:

  • Bold colors and unconventional styles are becoming more frequent with clients, creating more interest that makes a statement. Bold and bright cabinetry finishes with a quirky tile accent or a balance of fluted cabinetry doors alongside flat panel drawer fronts help provide personality and flair.

Away With Upper Cabinetry:

  • Minimizing the number of upper cabinets or not installing any at all is a top trend that showcases a kitchen full of light and allows for other statement pieces to shine through your design. If the additional storage uppers provide is non-negotiable, try isolating your upper cabinetry to one wall or substitute floating shelves for a more streamlined look and feel.

Natural Stone Slabs:

  • Natural stone slabs don’t just stop at the tops. We’re seeing these unique materials continuing up the walls as a backsplash and even cascading down to the floor for a beautiful waterfall edge. Many clients are willing to invest more in natural stone materials because every piece tells a different story. By utilizing a waterfall edge and “high splash” with the same countertop material, you get a cohesive look while showcasing your one-of-a-kind stone selection.
