Year in Review

As 2023 comes to a conclusion, it’s always fun to look back at some of our unique challenges throughout the year and celebrate the MANY reasons for which we’re grateful!

January- March
A new year brings a new attitude.

  • “No matter what’s going on in the world, it’s time to raise the bar and get back to the high standards we expect from ourselves and those around us.  No more excuses.  No more compromises.  Anything less is unacceptable.  For us, THAT will be the new norm.  Here’s to making 2023 a new year to remember!”
  • The National Association of the Remodeling Industry recently named DiFabion Remodeling a Regional Contractor of the Year winner in 3 different categories:
    • Residential Addition $100-250K
    • Residential Exterior $100-200K
    • Residential Detached Structure

April – June

  • DR bowls for charity!  Pins 4 Kids is an annual bowling event hosted by NARI of Greater Charlotte to raise thousands for the Dream On 3 mission, a non-profit organization providing kids living with a disability or life-altering condition an opportunity to live out their ultimate sports dreams. Not only was the event tons of fun, we were able to surprise Dream Kid Brayden by letting him know that his DREAM of attending the Wells Fargo Championship will be coming true in May! We are so grateful to a part of this wonderful event and generous community.
  • DiFabion Remodeling received a 2023 Guildmaster with Highest Distinction Award from GuildQuality for demonstrating exceptional customer service within the residential construction industry.

July – September

Recently, DiFabion Remodeling had the honor and privilege to partner with NARI Charlotte and award four $3,500 scholarships through the Jim Harkey Memorial Foundation.  Each year, the past presidents of NARI Charlotte comb through the applications of students connected to the remodeling industry and decide on a select few to support their college, university, or trade school endeavors, furthering the development of future generations in the construction industry.

DR is excited to announce two new additions to the team.  Our newest Designer, Meg Hoffmaster comes to us with an Interior Design degree from Auburn University and a unique passion for residential design and cutting-edge 3D modeling.  James Queen is our newest craftsman, with over 30 years of experience in the residential remodeling industry.  Welcome to the team, Meg and James!

October – December

DiFabion Wins Big!

For the 23rd consecutive year, DiFabion Remodeling had the honor of participating (and winning) in NARI Charlotte’s annual Contractor of the Year Awards!  We are proud to announce that DiFabion Remodeling took home 4 CotY’s in the categories of Best:

  • Residential Kitchen $100-175K
  • Residential Interior $250-500K
  • Residential Addition Under $250K
  • Residential Entire House $250-500K

Through the Business Leaders of Charlotte, DiFabion Remodeling recently participated in the annual BLOC n Bowl, raising money for families in need in the Greater Charlotte area for the upcoming holiday season.  Along with supporting local non-profit Living Libraries, BLOC was able to raise over $40,000, that will go to providing “wish list” items for each of these families, including clothing, linens, bedding, food, and presents for the children.

Thank you to all who donated and helped contribute to this wonderful cause. Your efforts will truly make a difference in the lives of the families we will help this holiday season!

Wrapping It Up!

Along with the MANY amazing projects we had the opportunity to complete, we would like to give a special thanks to our wonderful clients who placed their trust in the DR family to help transform their homes. It is an honor and privilege to be given the opportunity, and we don’t take that lightly. From our family to yours, have a safe and enjoyable holiday season, and we’ll see you in 2024!

Class and Elegance

Recently, we completed a kitchen renovation in South Charlotte where the existing space was dated and closed off from the main dining and living areas. The existing peninsula offered little seating, while the existing wall made for an awkward layout and barrier to other areas of the home. This made entertaining difficult, as there was not adequate space for food preparation and guest seating. Our clients wanted an open floor plan, with ease of function and flow for entertainment and everyday life, while portraying a style of class and elegance.

By removing the existing cabinetry and wall, our design team was able to combine the dining room and kitchen, creating an efficient new layout. This was not an easy task, as we needed to install structural reinforcements and relocate hidden plumbing and electrical lines to the exterior wall. In the end, our team of skilled professionals were able to execute this project, allowing for much needed space to expand the kitchen with an impressive new island, perfect for any occasion. Take a look at this beautiful new kitchen!
