Sharon Hills Library
Project Overview
The owners had a small room off the front main entry that was hardly used at all. Both the husband and wife are physicians who long desired a library/office space that could be functional but also wanted to make a dramatic statement as one entered the home. They wanted deep rich wood, a built-in ladder system, creative utilization of the arched openings and a room that just screamed of quality!
We literally wrapped the entire room in solid cherry. On one side of the room, we designed and installed fully functional bookcases and storage nooks to establish the library look. On the other side of the room, we designed and installed solid cherry panels in a brick pattern with floating shelves. At the main arched entry, we built custom elliptical glass sliding doors. The furniture finish on all the woodwork makes this room truly one of a kind and a major upgrade to the home.
